We are changing our name but are still here for you as usual...
I hope you are well and keeping safe.
At the 2020 Annual General Meeting it was agreed that Lanarkshire Credit Union would be extending the common bond area from Lanarkshire to the West of Scotland (Ayrshire, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Fife, Argyll & Bute, Inverclyde, East Dunbartonshire, Falkirk, West Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire, West Lothian & Stirling).
Due to this change, from Monday 16th August we will be rebranding our name to Thistle Credit Union.
We have taken this decision to ensure the credit union's continued growth, and to strengthen our position as one of the leading community credit unions in Scotland. Our community values remain the same - to promote financial well-being and provide ethical financial assistance to those who need it.
The aim of our expansion is to improve our capital position, increase the chance of a dividend payment to our members, and to financially assist more people in Scotland post COVID-19.
We will continue to provide the best service possible for you, our current members, as well as promoting our services to new members within our extended common bond area.
I would like to assure you that our team are here for you as usual, and our services will remain the same as normal.

What do I need to do?
Don’t worry - you don’t need to do anything. Even our mobile banking app will update on your phone itself.
Our website, branches and mobile banking app will undergo some changes to how they look but you will still be able to access all our services and products as usual.
Here is a reminder of some of the services and products we offer:
➢ Personal Loans available from just 6.9% APR
➢ Savings protected up to £85,000 with the FSCS
➢ Life Protection Cover Scheme
You will still be able to manage your account by using our mobile banking app, website, by phone or by visiting one of our branches.
Our website, branches and mobile banking app will undergo some changes to how they look but you will still be able to access all our services and products as usual.
